About Akarana Event Centre
Akarana Event Centre is a waterfront destination at Ōkahu Bay in Orakei, about 10 minutes from the CBD. It brings together an events space, an eatery, Royal Akarana Yacht Club and other marine sport clubs, including Waka Ama New Zealand.
The centre hosts weddings, conferences, meetings, social events, memorials and celebrations of life, with in-house catering, tailored packages and an experienced event team. The Waitematā Harbour is the backdrop to weddings, with ocean views.
It also offers experiences on and off the water, sports events and brand activations, and a live cam of the bay, and it welcomes a supporter programme for local sport. Parking is ample, and wheelchair accessible parking, entrance and restroom are available.
