About Waitakere Resort & Spa
Waitakere Resort & Spa is a family-owned hotel in the Waitakere Ranges at Waiatarua, about half an hour from central Auckland. Alongside its rooms, restaurant and day spa, it hosts weddings for parties of roughly 30 to 70 people, from a ceremony with all the whānau to a small elopement.
Ceremonies can be held in the gardens among native birdsong or in a purpose-built chapel. The same property takes care of the reception and puts guests up overnight in ensuite rooms.
Couples can book the whole property for their exclusive use from 3pm on the wedding day until 10am the next morning. Views stretch over the Auckland city skyline and the surrounding native bush, and the gardens and architecture suit an on-site photoshoot.
